Royal Television Society Wales Centre Annual Lecture in association with the National Assembly for Wales and sponsored by the Presiding Officer, Rosemary Butler AM
This year’s Annual Lecture will be given by Guto Harri, Director of Communications at News International. Guto is a former BBC Chief Political Correspondent, and was Communications Director for the Mayor of London, Boris Johnson, during his first term.
The lecture will be introduced by Rosemary Butler AM, Presiding Officer of the National Assembly for Wales, and will be chaired by Tim Hartley, Chair, RTS Wales Centre.
In his lecture, Guto will explore Wales’s changing profile, and its relationship with the UK’s press and media. He will provide an insight into some of the key issues facing the media today, including the importance of maintaining high quality journalism in an age of declining newspaper sales and increasing use of social media.
Light refreshments will be available before and after the lecture.
