The UK’s libel laws cover print, broadcast, online and social media which means anyone posting on social media could fall foul of the law. This essential bitesize lunchtime session is for those wanting to brush up their knowledge of libel, or get an understanding of its key topics.
David will cover all the main topics of libel including how to assess libel risk and whether you have a viable defence in this quickfire session.
Attendees will also receive a risk and defence checklist to help them apply the lessons of the session to any content they produce in future. There will be a short Q & A at the end, giving attendees the chance to ask David any questions about libel and associated issues.
